The Aveda Institute San Antonio was the first of its kind to use Windtricity, renewable energy to power our award winning facility. Along with sustainable Aveda products, we practice and encourage recycling because we care about our planet and our neighborhood. The Aveda Institute hosts and participates in charitable events because we believe in giving back to our community in as many ways as possible.

The Aveda Institute Corpus Christi has expanded on the principles developed by the Aveda Institute San Antonio - we installed a wind turbine to help power our newly designed facilities. We also installed self-propelled exercise machines available for use during business hours to anyone that wants to get a workout in and supply us with electricity - how cool is that!?!! Along with sustainable Aveda products, we practice and encourage recycling because we care about our planet and our neighborhood.

The Aveda Institute Corpus Christi harnesses human energy with cardio equipment to power our facilities with four kinetic to direct current exercise machines; of the exercise machines installed, one is a Woodway EcoMill treadmill, which uses zero electricity enabling all energy generated to go directly to the AICC grid and three are PreCor EFX556i Experience™ elliptical machines.
These fitness machines are be available to La Palmera shoppers at the Aveda Institute's upper level location during mall hours. The Aveda Institute Corpus Christi will provide discounts for services for every 30-minute workout, which adds 50-watt hours of clean, carbon-free electricity to the Institute's power supply.

The wind power delivered to the Aveda Institute Corpus Christi by the
60' Skystream 3.7 wind turbine will add to our power supply, reducing the need for non-renewable energy.
